Overview: Irwin Home Equity specializes in high loan-to-value (HLTV) mortgages of 100% (or more) of a homeowner's equity. As the crisis in subprime funding emerged, mortgage brokers were hesitant to consider these loans because of the misconception that HLTV loans are subprime products.

This white paper was written to dispel that myth and explain to mortgage brokers that HLTV financing is an excellent option for select clients with high credit scores and high incomes. The copy explains HLTV programs from the lender's point of view and presents various scenarios to describe the benefits and general lending criteria.
